How about some tasty baked acorn squash on a cold winters day !
Make it ahead of time and reheat if you like !
Just put it back in the oven for 15-20 minutes .
1-Clean/Rinse your squash
2-Cut in 1/2 and clean/scoop out the seeds and rinse
3-Make foil rings to put under squash to keep them from tipping over.
4-Fill center holes with brown sugar and real butter and press down
add about 1/2 cup water to pan and cover pan/squash
5-Bake in a 350 degree oven
6-Bake 25 minutes or until desired tenderness.Then bake 5 or 10 minutes more uncovered...
7-Remove from oven and let sit about 5-10 minutes before serving
