Sweet & Sour Dressing with Bacon
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Cooked, crumbled bacon
Combine all ingredients but bacon and whip or blend until smooth. Serve over salad topped with bacon bits. Makes about 2 1/2 cups dressing.
Note: For a side salad, use about 1/2 cup dressing and about 1 tablespoon bacon; for a main dish salad use about 1/2 cup dressing and 2 tablespoons bacon.
