Established in late 2004, e-learning for kids is a global, nonprofit foundation dedicated to fun and free learning on the internet for children ages 5 - 12.
It's so important that children find and use their creativity .
-Let them play and use their imagination
-Shut the TV and computers off ( Unplug them lol so they can't try to turn them on)
-Let them discover nature and what they can do with it
-Teach them how to make different foods that are in their age range (let them have the hands on as you guide them)
-Don't do everything for them~they need to learn how to do things
-Give them a notebook that they can write stories, poems, thoughts in.
-Have dress up day...find all kinds of clothes, costumes jewelry, hats, shoes etc...anything that will help them be creative in pretending they are someone else
One of my favorite things is homemade playdough !
And this is a very simple recipe:
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup water (add oil and essential oil to water before adding to dry mixture)
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon corn starch (GMO free) (Optional)
1 teaspoon oil
1-2 drops of essential oil lemon/orange etc (this is optional)
Lay newspaper to cover the surface you are working on
OR a plastic cutting sheet that you use to cut your veggies on.
In medium sized bowl add dry ingredients, mix together then add water mixture and mix with spoon until mixed well . NOW add your choice of food coloring and knead the color into the dough...knead dough until smooth. If dough is to sticky add light sprinkles of flower and knead more until desired texture is reached....Don't forget to let the kids help !
